ills that were taboo. I've noticed the same thing in old series like Ponderosa. Some of them reflect an early evolution that was barely better than the root issue. Saw an episode of Ponderosa recently about discrimination and hatred of Native Americans. The solution was to give the "Indian" some land and turn him into a farmer, i.e. turn him into a white man by destroying his culture.

Some of this stuff is very educational in light of the current atmosphere.
