8. I find you get used to the subtitles

The brain starts monitoring it automatically so you stop realizing you're trying to read and watch at the same time.
Dubbing spoils things because the voices don't match the acting and mood.
It may take a little time with the subtitles to get used to it but is well worth it. International programs are often outstanding. We find ourselves preferring them. It is an excellent way to see what life looks like outside of the U.S.
