They were terrible about their diets--"If I want to have donuts, I'll just take more insulin." And they certainly paid for it.

I'd offer him a sandwich, and sugarless beverage. I'm trying to remember if my sisters ever ate any healthy snacks, and what they may have been. Should be plenty of info on Google.
