3. You did the right thing, reaching out to DU

That's one blessings of this site, we're always here 24/7. I suffered from severe panic attacks when I was in my 20s. One thing I was told to do was to breathe into a small paper bag - which really did seem to help. I carried one with me in my purse for years. I'm sure that there are services you can look up if you have a phone book, but a this hour DU is the best idea. Just remember to breathe. That's what I tell myself when I feel panic coming on since I often realize that I'm holding my breath.
