13. After my children fledged one of my therapists said it was okay to stay in bed...

... getting up only to pee and feed the pets until I worked things out in my head.

That's living. Better than the alternative.

This was a radical concept for a guy like me who always quits eating as well when I'm in the dumps.

Thus far I've always worked things out in my head soon enough to eat, but sometimes it's taken a few days to reboot.

The last time it was taking weeks to reboot I landed in the psych ward. Oh well.

During the reboots it makes me crazy that wife, friends, and family simply don't throw mama off the train. Goodbye Hunter, sucked to know you.

Somewhere in my misspent youth I learned how to build strong social safety nets for myself. I honestly don't know how that happened.
