My wife of 36 years now aged 80 has sunk away into the world of self-pity with aches and pain by the score.
Plus fast approaching senility/dementia.
Treats me like servant/slave, not a spouse. Needs constant attention.

But yes, 'If he dies, he dies' . . . you get to that stage.

Bear with it, try to remember the good times.
Try to find time and space to keep yourself sane and maintain a balanced view. Not easy.
