I can relate to the dogs and I've been thinking I need to get one for my own emotional health once I move out. For reasons I won't get into I can't get one now. I'm sorry about the surgery but it's nice you are finding solace in your friend. I need to get a GF at some point down the road so I know the feeling of being with someone who supports me emotionally.
