5. Hey, there.

Thanks for thinking of me. I'm doing 40-60 mile rides routinely as often as time allows, generally on weekend mornings. Longest ride to date was 85 mile round trip.

Self confidence is everything. Mine in my athletic abilities has mushroomed. I'm now pushing myself in an advanced fitness class. It's tough, today was basically cardio, this morning in an hour we had to do a total of 200 squats, 200 push-ups, 200 sit-ups, 200 planks with hip rotation, 400 reps jumping a rope, 8 times doing the bear crawl across a full sized basketball court/gym floor and back, 8 sets of lunges across the gym and back, and 16 times jogging around the gym perimeter.

I'm still not as fast or as good as most of the people in there, out of about 20 people, I would say I finished in the last 3rd, I got through about 6 of the 8 total rounds.

I followed that up with about 45 minutes doing practice laps in the pool - ok, truth in advertising, 30 minutes doing laps, 15 minutes soaking in the hot tub so I would at least be able to walk today once I got to work.

Little over a year ago, I could barely walk a mile. Starting my triathlon training course first part of January, I already signed up.

I am confident that not only will I continue to improve, but that my increased self confidence in this area of my life translates over to many other areas.

Self confidence - it's a good thing, Martha.
