3. Two thoughts of unsolicited advice

But first, good for you for having that conversation with your boss. Clearly, he has some empathy and understanding of the personal pressures you've experienced.

My 2-cents of advice:

1. Take the time off to recharge your batteries and your psyche. You've earned it, retrofire.

2. When you go back to work, thank your boss for his understanding and apply yourself to the job appropriately.

He sounds like he's not a jerk. Not much of a compliment, I know!

I hope you can find some peace of mind. Enjoy your break!
