The first two paragraphs you have there make sense and could be another component to the dream. It could be a multi-layered kind of thing. I'm not sure about the sexual aspect. When I dream about sex it's usually pretty straight forward. My wife and I have a healthy sexual life. There are no hang-ups there that I would be sublimating.
