My son lost his job because of the coronavirus [View all]

He's 24 and worked as a prep cook in a local restaurant. As far as we both know, he wasn't infected by being around lots of customers and co-workers. As far as we know. He will get his job back, hopefully, once this pandemic has eased.

He will probably run out of money in the next few weeks and have to come live with me, which is totally fine.

I'm going to see him tonight for in-home movie streaming and DoorDash food delivery. But, no hugs or handshakes.
I'd feel more at ease if it had been more than 14 days since he worked, but he's my son and I really need to see him.

I am sure all of you have a family member or friend in a very similar situation. I am just very grateful that my son and
I are still healthy and have adequate resources to ride this pandemic out together. Many families do not.

I wish all of you the best.
