Guess that happened to a lot of those families back then.

But they had something to lose to start with, the Black people they enslaved started with nothing and left with nothing,many searching for their relatives in the hostile land America was to Blacks back during Reconstruction and jim crow (see August Wilson's play about it, "Joe Turner's Come and Gone.&quot .
