A friend said the Battle of the Bulge was the coldest he had ever been.

He was from NC.

He thought the war would be over in a couple of weeks when he went to boot camp.

He parachuted over Normandy on D Day. 101st

5 or 8 months as a POW.

Said they ate cattle beets.
