2. Historical items are worth saving if

Not kept for vanity, but to share.
Never was a big fan of the Catholic Church until I visited Italy. All that history was on display to the public for free or cheap enough for me to see. Museums are great, rich peoples homes not so much.
I buy and sell antiques and I’m like the bar owner that doesn’t drink. I don’t keep all of the good stuff, just the cheap strange things and they are for sale to. I have donated some really nice items to local museums that deal with local history.
While in Italy, I saw the. Square where the vanities were burned and that story always stuck with me.
