3. It's very difficult not to take seriously...

...an article full of snark, sarcasm and hyperbole.. well.. yes it is.


Today, the need for unity and actions which bring together folks that see a means to actually make progress are sabotaged by the writings of those that simply appeal to more extreme folks on either side. I know making fun of your opposition gets you attention but that seldom leads to winning over any undecided hearts and minds.

Mr Waldman is just following the speeches of folks like Watts and Feinstein. You know why this type of talk is fine for the pro-gun side but not the pro-control side? That's because it's working for them. They're not looking for change; they want things to stay as they are. And nothing much is really changing. The history of the last 20 years is actual hard proof that all these speeches, cartoons and snarky articles aren't working.

But folks like Dave who wrote this and folks like you that post here quoting him can feel free to repeat what hasn't worked for a long, long time and expect new and different results.
