5. Core difference in pro and anti 2nd

2/3 of gun deaths are suicides.
Anti 2nd says it's a gun problem.
Pro 2nd says it's a suicide problem.

To me, it's like trying to get rid of drunk drivers by banning cars. You'd still have drunks killing themselves and other folks, but at least not by cars.

It's easier and simpler to focus in on the gun angle, which is why I've referred to it as a Reagan like solution. Building an adequate mental health support network and things like economic and social justice and single payer system are the ways to address the foundation of the suicide problem. If you could magically take all guns away, do you then go after the 'new' leading suicide method such as pharma drugs or rope? Is there a specific percentage of suicide deaths per a method that no longer calls for banning the tool?
