Countries with what amounts to civilian gun bans have higher suicide rates than the U.S, like Japan or South Korea. Even several western European countries have higher suicide rates than the U.S. But..but...it's a gun problem.

Guns are an easy policy lever. Reducing economic inequality, providing support for the at risk and suicidally depressed, jobs and economic opportunity in our inner cities...all of those things are less tangible than "oh my, ban the guess".

It is disgusting to me that gun control advocates call suicides "gun violence".
