8. Less law enforcement and more DAs need to stop plea bargaining on gun charges

In Chicago the rate of prosecution for gun crimes has fallen more than 40% in the last 5 years as gun charges are the first thing they offer to plead away for a lesser charge.

No FOID card, no charges.

No CCW permit, no charges

Felon in possession, no charges

etc.

Prosecute them and go for max sentencing and lets see what happens.
