I glanced at the title and in my mind I read it as "...restore trust in LAWS" (not 'news'), and it sort of stopped me cold.

I have personally completely given up on all domestic sources of media-driven reporting. Online sources are also very suspect to me and I routinely find myself seeking out 3rd and 4th sources to believe any of it now. I still believe that NPR, PBS and the BBC America feeds are largely accurate or at least quasi-independent enough and worthy of trust, but the rest is a swamp and morass of useless opportunists - either toeing the propaganda marching orders and lines or self-aggrandizing blow-hards and nihilists that say 10,000 words of hand-wringing nonsense when 10 would convey the truth of the mater just as well ("WE ARE COMPLETELY FUCKED UNLESS THIS IS OPPOSED AND CHANGED.&quot .

I have come to view all of this Kabuki theater in the media and nonsensical bullshit from the GOP and the usurper as the distraction from what is REALLY being lost right under our noses - the rule of law is evaporating like morning dew in the desert.

If we do not protect the rule of law, re-establish the true separate of powers in the Constitution, then all is truly lost. America - with its massive arsenal and unimaginably powerful military might, is not to EVER be entrusted into the hands of any one man. The founders knew this when the most destructive thing available was gun powder and cannons. They would be apoplectic if they saw the immense power than has grown from their conception of the republic and its fall into peril.
