My fellow soldiers and I were in SE Asia at the time this happened and just about every one of us was incensed about it. Unlike today’s troops, we served from a different generation, older, better educated, and selected from a wider population of the country, many of us having been drafted. The mentality of many of today’s more recent volunteer veterans might not be the same.
