come up and head from Fairbanks toward Byers Lake on the Parks Highway. The Veterans Memorial is within Denali STATE (not national) Park near Trapper Creek and it's one of the most gorgeous places you've ever seen. Huge Memorial Day ride there if the ice is gone (ABATE). The reason I say start in Fairbanks is when you go over the bridge on the Nenana River - that bridge is dedicated to all our Native/Indian veterans, and it was an awesome ceremony about 20 years ago.

I don't know how to post photos, being technically a moron, but this park is part of our Dept. of Natural Resources and is loved by everyone!

I'd be glad to help clean up that memorial with you; I've gotten good at it in our oldest cemetery here in town.
