To anyone who has it, use it!

I earned a 4-year degree in chemistry back in 1998-2002. I left the Army in 2007, worked a couple of jobs, and became 100% disabled from PTSD in 2015. After two years of attending therapy and groups, I’ve decided to move on to something else with my life. I went back to college this last fall at a local community college and I love it!

I’m not sure if I’m ever going to go back to work full time, but college has done a lot for my self esteem and my psychiatric condition. I wake up and have something productive to do. I’m one of the older people in My. classes at 37, but not the oldest. The classes are interesting to me and the professors are great.

Regardless of how old you might be, use this benefit! You’ve earned it!

For what it’s worth, applying for the benny is as easy as sitting with an academic advisor at your college for 30 minutes. They do the work and in 30 days you get the benefit.
