3. Mine used to take a little break in winter

even though I was in southern California. I'm in Virginia now and am planning on getting some chicks this spring. It will be a whole new thing here, a different climate, different predators, etc. but I'm looking forward to the fresh eggs again. It's so fun watching them, too. They can be such goofballs. Eleven is a lot! I'm going to start with six, I think. Maybe I'll expand later on. I'm also interested in guinea hens because I hear they're good for tick control.
