1. I know this is an old post but tai chi is an excellent

way to build strength and balance. Plus it requires little space and one can use a chair to steady oneself. Libraries have dvds and some cable systems have how-to programs. Our senior center has very reasonably priced classes. I often do some of the moves while I’m waiting for something in the kitchen. I can even work on my balance while holding on to the grocery cart and lifting one leg slightly off the floor while I wait in line. It’s very beneficial.
