If you haven't found anything good yet, try Reilly - start with Ice Station. I'm on Scarecrow Returns now and like it. It's more exciting than what I usually read, and great for a change. I think of you when I read Reilly's books, especially Ice Station. There was so much action and the characters get along so well....
