2. Happy Halloween to you. I finally finished Stephanie Dray's wonderful historical fiction of

The Women of Chateau Lafayette. Poor France was shredded by wars for past 200 years. It seems we are all called in life to be heros in our own way and time.

After that, a much needed visit with Chet and Bernie in Bark to the Future, Spencer Quinn. Laugh at the titles if you will, but the mysteries are serious, with great humor and insight. A former high school baseball teammate of Bernie's goes missing, and he and Chet "are plunged into a dangerous case where the past isn't dead and future could be fatal."

Next will be something spooky for Halloween week. Wishing you treats and good reading.
