on the Camel Club death. Hmmph.

Of course, I'm closing in on the end of the Aubrey/Maturin series, book 19, and *bang* there go TWO significant series characters. Jeesh. Good thing there's only 1.5 books left. Of course, I suppose in Napoleonic naval warfare, you have to expect some deaths along the way. At least with the Sharpe series is was mostly the poor young aides he kept being given. If they weren't already wearing red uniforms (the green being the actual Rifles), you'd accuse them of being red shirts, ala Star Trek.
