"The reading experience of a lifetime" [View all]

So says the Washington Post about William Vollmann’s The Dying Grass.

"The story is a brilliant and masterful retelling of the Nez Perce War of 1877 that is worth every page."

At over 1,300 pages I doubt I'll be getting around to that one anytime soon. But I would like to hear if anyone does read it and what they think. Sounds like a good one for long, cold winter nights.
