Boxing legend George Foreman has reportedly passed away at age 76

I remember the excitement of watching George in the Olympic trials. Then winning the gold, and waving the American flag.

After my brother & I watched the weigh-ins for the second Frazier vs Ali fight on Wide World of Sports, we walked across the street to the Garden. In time, the limos came out ..... first with Howard Cosell, then Big George, then Ali. At the fight, George was a very short distance from my brother & I. He got up to leave in the second round, pretending to be bored. As he walked by us, being a dumb teen, I yelled, "Ali will kill you!" Then I saw how big the man was!

About a year ago, my son contacted George to ask if he could give a shout out to Job Corp. The following day, George did.
