the golden age of the heavyweights. If a contender couldn't get past Quarry, who wasn't a bad fighter, then he couldn't get a fight with the likes of Ali, Frazier, Norton, George Foreman, Ron Lyle, Earnie Shavers, Jimmy Young and a little later Larry Holmes.

What a line-up of great fighters...never been anything like it except maybe with the welter/middle weights of Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Wifredo Benitez, Marvin Haggler and Thomas Hearns...around the same time.
