4. I remember when he learned he was going to the major league

I was a kid in the stands when he was called up from the Tacoma Giants. He got the call and immediately walked out of the dugout right past where I was standing in the aisle. Needless to say he was ecstatic, a smile a mile wide. Nice memory.
