Joe Morgan, my favorite ballplayer, told this story. [View all]

He had struck out badly. When he returned to the dugout a teammate grabbed a bat and used the handle as a fake microphone and approached Morgan to interview him about that at bat.

The player asked Joe, "Joe can you tell me what happened on that pitch."

Morgan: "I sure will. I'm going to tell you the difference between a curveball and a MFing curveball. Now, your curveball you can pick up the spin right away, track it, and a get a good hack on it. Now, your MFing curveball looks just like a fastball until it crosses the plate, falls off the table, you swing and miss like a fool, and now it's a MFing Strike Three."

Love that Joe.
