It’s hard to not be cynical about everything, including baseball, and all that it takes to build a team (or keep team$ together). I’m just glad to be watching the Astros in the World Series, currently, ... lumps and all. I’ll get to Osuna later, because I just don’t know what to think as I missed that whole debacle as last year was difficult for me with elder family members’ health crises.

I could go on to bemoan the state of the VIP section behind the plate in Houston, but won’t at this point. I know that a vast and diverse set of Houstonians are loving this. I’m enjoying the Nationals, too - they’re dangit good. So, from my uppity-but-sliding middle class perspective, there’s a bit of that weird-assed call to unity begging to be overcooked by big media that Pierce hollers about.

Also, ya can’t slag an entire city for one person or thing about it unless it’s Dallas, so there’s that.

(Am just kidding and not about Dallas.)
