And, Bill Hands was even faster than Jenkins.
We went to a Giants game at Wrigley that was Hands against Gaylord Perry.
Game lasted under 100 minutes!
We saw Gibson/Jenkins 6 times. Three of those games were, you called it, 2-1.
Two were shutouts. Gibson won 2-0, Jenkins won 1-0.
Your Cards won 4 of those games.
In 5 of the games, both pitchers went all 9.
A VERY different era in baseball.
