Before radar gun days, but everyone agrees he easily threw north of a hundred (Some suggest 110 mph). Dalkowski struck out 262 batters and walked 262 one year; control was an issue. Dalkowski's lack of control scared the shit out of Ted Williams who faced him once in a spring training game. "Fastest ever", said Williams. "I never want to face him again."
