They do, however, actually somewhat capture San Diego.
By which I mean no offense toward that great city - but those colors aren't for me.
Even worse, the link says that the Padres are wearing them for every home game for the rest of the season. That's just goofy, irreverent in a bad way, and unneeded. Baseball is supposed to be about tradition, not wearing weird flashy alternate colors for most of your home schedule. The NFL restricts the wearing of their gimmick jerseys to once or twice a season if memory serves. MLB, take a hint.
