Guardians overtook the Tigers yesterday with a 3-2 victory in Detroit and lead Minnesota by a game in the A.L. Central.

Sure, could be short-lived, especially with many games against the Twins and other play-off-caliber teams still on the schedule.

Really impressive.

Additionally, not only are the Guardians the youngest team in baseball (and younger than a lot of AAA teams), they also have one of the lowest payrolls in the league.

Kudos to Chris Antonetti, President of baseball operations, his staff, Guardian scouts, Terry Francona, his coaching staff and of course the players for such an outstanding effort.
