Babe Ruth, no shame in that, pride actually if you ask me, and he hit 61 ahead of Maris with several games to go.

I predict he'll his at least one more and have the record for the American League solely to himself...and to many, the overall record, untainted by steroid use like Sosa, McGuire and Bonds.
