Cedar waxwings perched high in a tulip tree

The birds are in the crown of a very tall tulip tree, also known as a tulip poplar. I never see waxwings on the ground, like those you might have seen in photos taken at NYC's Central Park Bathing Rock. I take bird photos in the wild areas of largely undeveloped parks and state forests. There are no easily located bathing rocks for birds where photographers can easily get a closeup photo out here.
