1. Once drove 3 hours to see one

In NJ of all places.

It was reported on a rare bird sighting list back in the 90s.

It was in the park in NJ where you can see the Statue of Liberty and the NY skyline.

Saw the WTC when it was standing.

Also around that time bald eagles were rare sightings in the northeast, drove a couple of hours to see on in VT.

Now I see them from my front porch regularly.

Nice to see them making a comeback, took decades.
