9. The first time we drove up the coast from NH, in early June.

Just lovely. Our destination was Acadia so we stayed in Bar Harbor. We had explored NH so we didn’t go into other parts of Maine. Then several years later we were on a NE cruise and took the tender into Bar Harbor and walked the town and revisited Acadia, a joy for me. I’d love to see more of the state.

Forgot to mention, on our first trip to the park we followed a car down that road that hugs the shoreline, with the stones walls. A young woman out her upper body out of the sunroof and raised her hands, kind of like Leo Decaprio in Titanic. I couldn’t get over the feeling of freedom that move elicited. Good for her. I hope to see the park one more time.
