3. AtlasEuropean cruises are way more sophisticated than American cruise lines.

Hubby and I have taken two. Food excellence (not quantity) is what is important. To me, it's the only way to cruise (or as I call it "sea voyage." It's just based on a different princicple: one of relaxation, good (not excessive) food, and a pleasant, not frenetic, pace of activity. We used an agent and I was able to plan an entire voyage/land combined vacation experience that was beautiful and also an art adventure (we were in Spain) which was my preference as an art writer. Our only problem was time lag that interfered with our normal sleep pattern and there's nothing you can do about that except slowly adjust to it coming back.
