because she was a different ethnicity. When she pleaded with him to help her child, first he rudely ignored her. Then he told her, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel," and compared her to a dog begging at the table. Only after she groveled enough to suit him, and agreed with his dehumanizing characterization of her, did he relent and heal her child. Matthew 15:21-28
