Body Ecology Diet, and change your health? [View all]

I think I may have posted a few things about this in the past, but never started a thread about it. I am not on this diet, but am posting the experience of a friend.

First of all, this is all about changing gut ecology, not about treating any sort of disease, losing weight, etc. Those may be benefits from the diet, but if you need to gain weight, it could actually help you gain weight as well. Anything going on in your body could be benefitted by changing the gut ecology. We seem to have several people here with big health challenges. I would go on this diet if I had any sort of health challenge.

My friend called me because I knew more about diabetes than any other person she knew. Her first pregnancy resulted in a stillborn baby. Her second pregnancy was when she discovered that she had gestational diabetes. Her blood sugars returned to normal after the birth. About a year later, she started having high blood sugars again. This was really not explained by anything like her diet, which was good, or her weight, which was fine. The first two times she called me, I told her the usual stuff--buy a glucose monitor, and try to discover what food makes her blood sugars go haywire. I told her to avoid simple carbohydrates, and even limit carbohydrates in general, yada, yada. Generally I just became to her what the trained diabetes educators do.........and it didn't work. I test energetically, but then, so does she. I did discover some things that she had in common energetically with people who had diabetes. That just frustrated her. She did have lots of relatives with Type 2 diabetes.

It was only when she mentioned her continual sinus infection that it rang a bell with me, because sinus infections are generally fungal. So, I asked about candida. She said THAT'S IT??? She had asked the doctor if this was candida related, and the doctor had told her NO. It turns out that she had had some gut issues her entire life. Because she does energetic testing, I asked her to test herself to see if the gut issues were at the root of her high blood sugars and the answer was YES.

I told her to go on an anti candida diet but had no recommendations beyond that. She found out about the Body Ecology Diet, and bought the book. Within a week she was getting results. It was only when she added a little bit of inulin (a PRE biotic, not a probiotic) to the Body Ecology Diet that she got 100% results. Her lifelong gut issues completely disappeared and her blood sugars became completely normal.

Most chronic ailments can be negatively impacted by gut issues. This is a diet that emphasizes fermented foods and eliminates sugar. It has you making your own kefir and things like that.

If I had health challenges, or was tired a lot, and wanted good health, I would try this diet. You can look at the Amazon reviews and decide if it is worthwhile. I could not even find a positive review that mentioned blood sugars. Again, this is not about treating a disease......at all.
