Went on a college tour trek with my daughter, and while I treasured spending time with her, it was beyond stressful. Every step of the way. We even had a huge blowup but talked it out.
It all culminated with me going three hours out of the way to get home in order to drive by another college on her list to get a feel for the area, only to discover the college wasn't even there -- it was on the other end of the state. Followed by GPS (my first encounter with it, btw), taking us home via country roads. It was dark (I hate to drive in the dark); on unfamiliar, very isolated roads (hate that); and both of our cell phones had died.
But, we made it safely, so I'm grateful. Still, a VERY, VERY stressful week.
