That the fabric originally tested was from the edges, but was fabric that replaced portions of the shroud that had deteriorated due to handling, etc. There have never been tests of the fabric containing the image or even close to the image. (obvoiusly because they'd have to destroy it). Texas A&M has come up with a less destructive method & I think they're paving the way to get the shroud tested again, with a sample from these areas.

It does boggle the mind, doesn't it, to think that they may have crucified another person in the middle ages to produce this shroud. And yet, no one's figured out conclusively how they did it!!!
