12. Christian Nationalism is rooted in bad theology, leading to horrific politics

It has a great many flaws, not least of which is a failure to comprehend that Christianity is a universal faith that transcends national borders.

We could be here all day pointing out the many flaws in what gets termed "Christian Nationalism", from historical precedents to sectarianism. But a good place to start is with St Paul, his missions to the Gentiles, and in particular the Epistle to the Galatians. I visited his resting place at St Pauls Outside the Walls last month and his example is very different to that you'll see with self professed "Christian Nationalists".
