I knew his father Ben slightly. A gentle soul if there ever was one.

"I told my son," he once told me, "do the kind of comedy you wouldn't be ashamed to show to kids. He loves kids."

And Bob Saget (usually) stuck to that.

Now, they're no doubt up there - trading stories, and more than a few laughs.
