I would say "Seriously?" but, sadly, this is so damned commonplace now. I am one who has always tried to make sure there was a line in the sand regarding "hate crimes" because calling everything a hate crime waters it down, but given what we now know, anti-Semitism was a motivating factor, and if it wasn't, then I will demand proof.

Frankly, I think there are some who are disappointed it wasn't a MAGAt, or other white supremacist, and that Jews actually survived, another reason this will be claimed to not be a "real" anti-Semitic hate crime. Jews taken hostage by someone who isn't a white supremacist? YAWN.
