At pointing fingers, creating scapegoats, and convincing the general public that THEIR sins are the responsibility of the 'others'. They did the same thing in the Weimar Republic.

It's not inevitable that we end up the same - IF - we can collectively start telling hard truths.

I saw in another post - you wrote something I thought . . . and I agree. Would the reaction have been different if it was white supremacists? Militia members?

Too little too late on the FBI walking it back. Now the right wing wingnuts will say there is a 'conspiracy' - again.
